Home remedies to get rid of gallstones

According to the American Medical Association, about 80 per cent of gallstones are caused by hardened cholesterol, while others are caused by too much bilirubin or too little bile salts. These gallstones may be smaller than a grain of sand or may be larger than a gold ball.The gallstones that travel through the bile duct may block the duct that transports bile from the liver to the small intestines.

This occurrence may cause the gallbladder to be backed up and the pain you feel results from built up pressure or inflammation. Also the buildup of the bile or the passage of gallstones along the bile duct can also result in liver or pancreas inflammation.

Lecithin

According to many herbalists lecithin granules may in fact help to dissolve gallstones, and so you are recommended two to three tablespoons daily. Lecithin granules are found in the market and they are basically a yellow phospholipid essential for the metabolism of fats; egg yolk and in many plant and animal cells, it is commercially used as an emulsifier.

In order to consume an adequate dose you should opt for liquid lecithin which doesn’t really taste good but can be better if taken with a chaser of dairy product.Lecithin granules could be the easiest way to consume the gallstones, the granules will not dissolve in a liquid but they are much easier to consume that the liquid version when stirred into juice or milk.

Curcurmin being the main ingredient in turmeric makes this spice a very good home remedy for gallstones. Curcurmin is believed to be an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory substance, and so can improve the solubility of bile, making bile and its compounds, including those that form gallstones much easier to dissolve. It has been said that a daily dose of turmeric which is about half a teaspoon can actually dissolve as much as 80 per cent of your gallstones.

Flushing the Gallbladder

A good way to keep the gallbladder flushed is by taking the juice of half a lemon with some olive oil and 1/8 teaspoon of garlic once a day. You could finish the juice of the lemon later in the day. You are recommended a dosage of 250 gm of ground black seed, 250 gm of pure honey and 1 teaspoon of black seed oil mixed thoroughly with half a cup of hot water. This mixture should be taken in the morning on an empty stomach.
